WOD:
4 x 126 yard Sprint
Athletes:
Jack.... 18:81, 18:57, 18:53, 20:52
The main goal of this WOD is not to puke. I nearly failed. Seriously, this is a mother of a WOD. Short, yes but the intensity is off the charts. Every single round is absolutely at the limit and then some. The goal is to be able to generate maximum power over the entire distance for each and every round. Obviously it’s evident as soon as you start to drop off.
My neighbors are trying to figure out what I’m training for. So far they’re guessing football. Nope. Soccer? Nope. “Are you doing this for fun?” Yeah, kinda. They’re starting to think I’m nuts. Ha! They might be right.
Susan, how's the ankle comming along?
The ankle is coming along. The doc has prescribed walking, swimming and bicycling for rehab. Last week was my first week free from the cast and the amount of soreness just from using the leg was incredible and unexpected. Top that off with two days of swimming and the pain was a bit much! I now have my bike set-up on the trainer and was able to ride for about 15 mins last night. I also had to do 120 make up sit-ups and decided to add 60 push-ups to the night. 7 wks of almost non-existant exercise (walking around on crutches wasn't no picnic) has taken it's toll. If the archives weren't here, I'd swear 7mos of CrossFit never happened. I've got my work cut out for me with my rehab and I'm looking forward to it! Hopefully my body will remember! All in all, it's getting better and I miss the gym!
